Each semester, Dr. Cruz and his DEI class conduct an organization-wide culture audit for one small to mid-size company planning DEI change.
Using the CLC Model
Context - Levels - Culture:
An organization-wide approach to DEI change readiness
The student learning objectives in the class are about how to understand diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) from an evidence-based, systems perspective. To do so, we contract with one company each semester to conduct a "DEI Culture Change Readiness Audit" using the CLC tool (Context-Levels-Culture) developed by Drs. Frank Golom & Mateo Cruz (Golom & Cruz, 2022).
The Process
During this process, we collect, analyze, and triangulate survey data (quantitative and qualitative), interviews, and focus groups, to provide a fuller picture of your company's readiness for DEI change.
Should your company be interested in being a client, the project entails:
A 60-min. contracting meeting with Dr. Cruz via Zoom
A 60-min. entry meeting with the class (ideally with your DEI leads) - in person or Zoom
Support with logistics launching a company-wide survey (aiming for an 80% response rate)
Help scheduling 30-min. interviews and 3-4 60 min. focus groups - all via Zoom
A final 90-min. presentation to your team - ideally in person at Bentley University
The Fine Print
We manage all data collected to protect the confidentiality of your employees. We also sign NDAs and do not share the names of people who may attend focus groups.
This project is ideal for a company that is just starting its DEI work given that our focus is on change readiness.
Client Work occurs twice per year: 1) February – April; and 2) October – December.
